【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoevaluateunusedmixedbedionexchangecartridgesforconformancetospecifications.Thistestmethodprovidesforthecalculationofcapacityintermsofthevolumeofwatertreatedtoaconductivityendpoint.ThetestmethodaswrittenassumesthattheionexchangeresinsinthecartridgeareeitherpartiallyorfullyconvertedtotheH+orOH-form.Regenerationoftheresinsisnotpartofthismethod.Thistestmethodprovidesforthecalculationofcapacityonacartridgebasis.Thistestmethodmaybeusedtotestdifferentsizemixedbedresincartridges.Theflowrateoftestwaterandthefrequencyofsamplingarevariedtocompensatefortheapproximatevolumeofresininthetestcartridge.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheperformanceofmixedbedionexchangeresincartridgesintheactiveformwhenusedfordeionization.Thetestcanbeusedtodeterminetheinitialcapacityofunusedcartridgesortheremainingcapacityofusedcartridges.Inthiscaseperformanceisdefinedasionexchangecapacity(orthroughput)totwodefinedendpoints.Themethoddoesnotmeasureorganicsanddoesnotattempttodeterminetheultimatewaterqualityattainablebythecartridge.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
