【摘要】:Thisweatheringapparatusisusedforcomparingtheweatheringcharacteristicsofbituminousmaterialsagainstacontrolmaterialforwhichtheoutdoorweatheringcharacteristicsareknown.Itisnotpossibletoestablishaprecisecorrelationbetweenacceleratedandnaturalweatheringbecause(1)therearegeographicalclimaticvariations,localweathervariations,andvariationsinlocalpollutants,and(2)therelationbetweenacceleratedandnaturalweatheringismaterialdependent.Accelerationfactorsdifferbetweenmaterialsaswellasbetweenformulationsofthesamematerial.GuideG141providesguidanceregardingthisissue.Note18212;Thispracticecanbeusedforotherthanbituminousmaterials,butthesignificanceandusehavenotbeenevaluated.1.1ThispracticedescribestestconditionsandproceduresforfluorescentUVandcondensationexposuresconductedaccordingtoPracticesG151andG154forbituminousroofingandwaterproofingmaterialsthathaveaminimumsofteningpointofapproximately95x00B0;C(200x00B0;F)asdeterminedbyTestMethodD36.(AlsoseeTerminologyG113.)1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
